The ground rules for using the free, independent Prolific Tracker website and app.

1. About the service
These Terms govern the Prolific Tracker website and browser-based app offered by Design Oasis Co. It is a free utility for tracking research earnings, payments, budgets and studies. By using it, you accept these Terms to the extent allowed by applicable law.
2. Independent third-party product
Prolific Tracker is independent of and not authorized, sponsored or endorsed by Prolific. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. The tracker does not access your Prolific account automatically or submit studies or payments for you.
3. Browser records and backups
You own the information you enter. Earnings, study records and budget details are stored in your browser, not in our server-side financial database. You are responsible for accurate imports, manual entries and secure backups. Clearing browser storage, losing a device or using private browsing may permanently delete data; we cannot restore records we do not possess.
4. Estimates, not financial advice
Exchange-rate conversions, review windows, estimated payouts, cash-out records and budget or tax-year summaries are informational estimates based on available entries. They are not official Prolific, banking or tax statements, financial advice or guarantees of payment. Verify material amounts with the relevant provider and consult an appropriate professional if necessary.
5. Acceptable use
Use the website lawfully. Do not interfere with security or availability, attempt unauthorized system access, upload malicious software, impersonate the creator or use the tool for fraud. Do not submit information you have no right to use. Our original website content and branding may not be commercially redistributed without permission or another applicable license.
6. Links and voluntary tips
Third-party destinations such as Prolific, ProlificTea and Ko-fi are independent services governed by their own terms and privacy notices. Contributions through Ko-fi are optional, do not unlock app functionality and are not advertised as tax-deductible charitable donations. Payment information is handled by Ko-fi or its payment partners.
7. Availability and warranty disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the website and app are provided as is and as available without promises of uninterrupted service, error-free calculations or a particular result. We may revise or discontinue features. Mandatory consumer rights and protections remain unaffected.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Design Oasis Co. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses resulting from use of this free informational tool, including unavailable features, incorrect estimates and lost local browser data. Nothing limits liability where prohibited by law.
9. Privacy and updates
Our Privacy Policy describes local storage and technical data associated with this website. We may update these Terms and their effective date. Continued use after an update may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.
10. Governing law and contact
